THE CONTINGENCY QUESTIONSeth Rollins did not have to enter the WrestleMania tag match to complicate it. His attack on CM Punk has left Roman Reigns preparing for Drew McIntyre and Shinsuke Nakamura without knowing how much his partner can give. Punk remains scheduled to compete.
1. Trust Punk—or ask too much of him?
Keeping the team intact is the simplest option. It also puts pressure on Roman to carry more of the match if Punk is struggling. Drew has already questioned Roman’s motives. A partner who insists everything is fine without listening could make that accusation uncomfortable.
2. Could Jey Uso be an emergency option?
Jey beat Nakamura in Cincinnati, so there is a recent result behind the idea. The obvious problem is that he already has a major tag title match with Jimmy against the Hardys. Asking him to solve Roman’s problem could compromise his own WrestleMania. There is no replacement announcement; this is a contingency worth debating, not a change to the card.
3. What about Edge?
Edge won his Chamber qualifier in Manchester and would bring a substantial name to a difficult situation. But there is no obvious reason for him to volunteer for Roman’s war. A replacement without a personal stake could weaken the very story the match is supposed to settle.
The better outcome may be Punk making his own condition clear before the bell. Until then, the pressure belongs on Roman’s decisions—not on pretending a withdrawal has already happened.
