Randy Orton and Trick Williams are set to meet for the United States Championship at WrestleMania Atlanta. Trick enters as champion after defeating Sami Zayn at Elimination Chamber.
Trick has already shown he will not shrink from the confrontation. Orton needs only a brief lapse to change a match. That tension is the appeal: a champion eager to impose himself against an opponent who makes impatience expensive.
My suspicion is that Randy will let the champion do more of the talking as Atlanta gets closer. If Trick starts chasing a statement instead of protecting his position, Orton will have exactly the kind of opening he likes.
