ANALYSISThe loudest image in a ladder match is usually somebody falling. The most important one may be a teammate looking up at exactly the right time.
Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens make Montreal Inc. compelling because the partnership feels like a conversation already in progress. They do not need to spend the opening minutes persuading us that they belong beside each other. In a field of four teams, that shared instinct can matter more than one spectacular climb.
The Bloodline are the champions. The Lucha Brothers bring a different pace. Jericho and Styles bring names big enough to change the mood of the match. Montreal Inc. should not be presented as favorites merely because people want the result. They still have to solve three teams.
What makes them my team to watch is the possibility of a small decision becoming the whole story: who clears the ring, who holds the ladder, who abandons a climb to save his partner. That is where a tag match becomes more than a sequence of stunts.
Night 1 has plenty of spectacle. Montreal Inc. could give one of its busiest matches a human center. That is why I keep coming back to them.
