The SmackDown Tag Team Championship will be defended in a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Ladder Match on WrestleMania Night 1.
Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa represent the defending champions, The Bloodline. Their challengers are Montreal Inc.—Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens—the Lucha Brothers, Penta and Rey Fenix, and the new pairing of Chris Jericho and AJ Styles.
The championship picture has widened quickly. The Bloodline won the titles from Swervy & Bouncy in Kansas City. In Omaha, the Lucha Brothers defeated Zayn and Owens by disqualification in the contenders’ match, while Jericho and Styles brought another major pairing into the conversation.
WrestleMania now puts all four teams in the same fight. The ladder stipulation changes the task: a team must create enough space to climb while three other teams can stop it. Protecting a partner becomes just as important as attacking a champion.
Montreal Inc. enter together as Zayn and Owens. The Bloodline’s championship team is Tonga and Loa. Eight competitors, four partnerships, and the SmackDown titles on the line.
The match takes place Tuesday, November 17 in Atlanta. Kickoff begins at 7 PM ET; WrestleMania Night 1 begins at 8 PM ET.
